Eheim Foam Cartridges for the Pickup 45 Internal filter. Eheim Pickup Filter cartridges are the precision filter media that provide both biological and mechanical filtration for your Eheim filter. The rectangular design of the foam is exclusive to the Pickup 45 and comes as a 2 pack. The coarse filter pad allows useful bacteria to colonize the foam. It is advisable that you should not rinse your filter foams under ordinary tap water, since this would kill the useful bacteria and therefore jeopardize the aquarium inhabitants
