Sera Air Operated Sponge Filter

• Product Description:

  • The sera L 300 is an air-operated sponge filter that operates as a mammoth or airlift pump, where water is drawn upward via a hose by an air pump. The water then flows through a fine mesh sponge, which purifies the aquarium water mechanically.
  • The sponge serves as an ideal surface for nitrifying bacteria, helping break down pollutants effectively and improving overall water quality.
  • This filter is especially beneficial for rearing larvae and juvenile fish, as they are too small to be caught in standard filters, making this design safer and more effective for delicate species.

• Key Features:

  • Air-driven filtration for efficient mechanical and biological filtration
  • Provides an optimal surface for the growth of beneficial nitrifying bacteria
  • Ideal for small, delicate fish such as larvae and juvenile species
  • Fine mesh sponge protects small fish from being drawn into the filter
