Sphagnum-Moss is 100% natural moss for the terrarium in the form of a solid tile. The Sphagnum-Moss tile is inflated by adding approx. 1.5 liters of lukewarm water which actually produces approx. 4,5 litres of ready-to-use moss. It is suitable to increase the humidity in the terrarium and keep it stable for a longer period of time. Its properties are especially appreciated by those inhabitants of terrariums with high humidity requirements. Sphagnum-Moss has extremely versatile uses whether it is required for facilitating birth for snakes and lizards, as a lining in the so-called wet box or as a substrate for egg deposition as well as for decoration. Plants also appreciate Sphagnum-Moss as it provides a perfect nutrient-rich base.

*Wet-Box:

A wet box offers residents the ability to replenish moisture. It facilitates the animal’s shaping process and provides coolness on hot days, increases hydration through the skin while improving the skin’s environment and therefore preventing skin conditions. This is also used by some genera for laying eggs. Perfectly suitable as a wet box are e.g. the HOBBY Wood Cave 1 + 2 or the HOBBY Eckhhle Bark

Caution: the filling material must be changed regularly to prevent mould growth!
